Review of Nikon L35 AD3: The final "Descendant" of Pikaichi L35

The Nikon L35 AD3 reproduces colors in a true but rich trend, slightly leaning towards the characteristic cool tone. However, you need to note that the final color also depends on the type of film you use or the Lab's intervention when scanning the film.

2.2. Shoot backlight with the Nikon L35 AD3

In certain complex lighting conditions, ghost/flare will appear. However, in most cases, the coating of the Nikon L35 AD3 controls ghost/flare pretty well, better Canon Autoboy 3. If you want to limit it even more, you can install a hood on the thread on the lens of the camera.

The Nikon L35 AD3's viewfinder is bright, big, clear, simply consisting of a frame finder and 2 lights: the AF indicator plus the flash indicator. Please note that if you shoot close up, you should align so that the subject being shot is inside the smaller frame of the viewfinder. The AF indicator is actually a useful improvement of the Nikon L35 AD3 compared to previous generations, minimize the focusing too close that we don't know.

• To rewind the mid-roll film or open the battery cover, you need the corresponding tool.
• The design is not too "retro" but has a modern orientation, not too suitable as an old concept photo prop.
• There is no focus-indicator (even though I've never out-of-focus once).
• The size is not small enough to tuck in a shirt pocket if you need a PNS that truly fits in the palm.
